Jets Re-Sign OLB Garrett McIntyre

Posted Apr 9, 2014

We have re-signed Garrett McIntyre, our versatile fill-in outside linebacker over the past three seasons.

McIntyre was a restricted free agent who became a street FA before returning to the team he finally got his NFL career started with in 2011.

Last year the 6'3", 255-pounder from South Lake Tahoe, CA, and Fresno State played in 13 games and started three, including the first two of the season while Quinton Coples rehabbed his foot injury. McIntyre totaled two sacks and three tackles for loss/no gain and also contributed on special teams in logging nearly 500 plays for the year.

In his three Jets seasons McIntyre has played in 42 games (10 starts) with 5.5 sacks and 8.5 tackles for loss/no gain.
